We, the undersigned constituents in Davenport, call on you to take a clear stance against Doug Ford’s takeover of the Toronto Islands to expand the Billy Bishop Airport.
As MP for Davenport and Chair of the Toronto Liberal Caucus, it is your responsibility to advocate for our community and defend our City.
The Premier has changed the law just so that he can do whatever he wants with the Toronto Islands. Without meaningful and necessary intervention from the Federal government, Toronto residents will lose one of the most unique and prized public assets that the City has. A shared place, where families of every background visit and benefit from community activities they can all afford.
We need you to state unequivocally that you oppose jets at Billy Bishop - no ifs ands or buts.
The fight to save the Toronto Islands will define the future of our province and this City. Will you stop this callous land grab?
