Davenport is one of the most diverse and vibrant ridings in Toronto. The area spans from Eglinton Avenue West in Midtown to Queen Street West Downtown, and runs from Oakwood/Ossington/Dovercourt Road over to the Barrie GO transit corridor west of Lansdowne. Residents represent from a beautiful array of cultures and heritage call Davenport home, including the highest percentage of Portuguese speakers in Canada.
Over the last decade, the Davenport NDP has mounted strong and winning local campaigns, powered by hundreds of local volunteers. Together, we elected Andrew Cash as our federal MP in 2011, the first non-Liberal elected in 49 years. Provincially, we helped elect Jonah Schein in 2011-2014 and Marit Stiles - our current MPP - in 2018. Davenport New Democrats are actively working to build a better city, province and country.
