Safer, Stronger Schools Day of Action- Sunday, October 24th, 1pm
Since the school year started again in September, more and more families, students, and teachers are experiencing first-hand the effects of Doug Ford's $800 million in cuts to education. Because of these cuts and a piecemeal back to school plan, students and education workers all across Ontario have returned to this school year with:
- Crowded classrooms
- An unclear plan for rapid testing
- No paid sick days for parents who need to take care of sick or isolating kids
- No mandatory vaccination for education workers
- No proactive plan to improve vaccination rates for students
As our MPP and the Education Critic for the Official Opposition NDP, Marit Stiles is fighting to reverse these cuts and force the government to invest in our students and our schools. But in order to win, we'll need strong pressure from the community. So join Marit this Sunday October 24th at 1pm for a rally and door-to-door canvass, as we help her keep up the pressure on Doug Ford.
